Risk Management Framework: The International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) defines risk management framework as "set of components that provide the foundations and organizational arrangement for designing, implementing, monitoring, reviewing and continually improving risk management throughout the organization".
Effective implementation of ERM in accordance with international standards is therefore only possible upon the development of a Risk Management Framework.
In practice, the development of risk management framework as a policy must include the commitment of the board and top management to provide adequate resources to ensure effective implementation, required skills development and training of members of staff, to enable all responsible officers understand and appreciate the importance and benefits of ERM activity at all levels of the hierarchy, whilst pursuing value.
